Many students and youth are engaged in learning and mastering musical instruments. A lot of the time, these talents are only put to use in community or school bands, or in competition. There are very few opportunities for students to use their musical talents to assist in career or volunteer roles, which is why we would like to showcase InterCal as a volunteer opportunity available for youth. If you have experience playing any instrument, then you have the chance to sign up for various performances around Calgary as part of InterCal to present your skills at various locations around Calgary. In addition to being able to assist the community of Calgary in a meaningful way through your presentation of music, if is also a great way for you to develop your abilities as a musical performer as well as become familiar with other musicians all around Calgary!
