This summer we're offering a program covering the basics of Math 30. Additionally, all material from our previous Math and English programs are still available on our website!

Math

Coming Soon!

Program Dates:

Every Monday and Thursday from 4 - 6 pm MDT in July and August, from July 6 to August 27.

Structure:

Students will join an online call hosted on Zoom where they will be met by our teaching team. Lessons on the material will run anywhere from an hour to two hours, depending on the difficulty of the concepts being taught. After the lessons, students will be provided worksheets for them to complete on their own time to strengthen the concepts taught during the classes. Assessments may also be provided to help us understand how well students are understanding our lessons and comprehending the material.

The aim of this program is to act as an introduction to the mathematical concepts taught in Math 30C and Math 30 pre-IB courses. Our lessons are structured after said courses and cover the required material at an accelerated rate.

Because this course will be running much faster than a standard Math 10 class while covering the same material, students are encouraged to actively seek assistance from mentors and are not expected to have a complete understanding of all the concepts being taught.

Please note that this program is not a replacement for required Math courses a student must complete in high school. Rather, it is an opportunity for students to become familiar with the required Math subjects and concepts before entering high school.

English

Program Dates:

Online, material available from July 6 to August 27. No live lessons will be held.

Structure:

Unlike previous years, no live English lessons will be help this year. Rather, all material traditionally offered during our live sessions will be available online, in the Resources tab in folders corresponding to each week in an 8-week period from July 6 to August 27, for interested students to review and learn on their own time. All relevant assignments and essays that are covered during the course of the program can still be submitted through the dropbox on the Resource tab for feedback and comments.

The aim of this program is to help students become familiar with various assignments and tests that they will encounter in high school English courses. This program is only covering a small fraction of the English curricular objectives for high school English and it is difficult for students to master English skills over a two-month period so it is encouraged that students invest extra time outside of the tasks given by the program to practice their skills.

Please note that these materials are not a replacement for required English courses a student must complete in high school, but is an opportunity for students to become familiar with required English skills and assignments before entering high school.
